Sly Rats find the ball DeepUnder
The West Coast Sly Rats found their inability to use the ball the big let down of their most recent game against the DeepUnder Outrats.

The Sly Rats started the game in a vicious mode by killing an opponent with their second block of the game and by continuing the trend with 5 casualties throughout the match, 2 being kills.

But whilst they were able to bash their opponents efficiently, their ball handling skills let them down and removed opportunities they had for scoring.

From a fumbled pass in the second turn, the Sly Rats then found themselves fighting for possession of the ball. Whilst being able to successfully turn over the ball numerous times, they were unable to handle the ball from the turnovers and found themselves unable to take advantage.

In the second half the Sly Rats were again successful in causing the turnover, but an unsuccessful Block which could have opened up the game in their favour, instead turned the game into the favour of the Outrats who were able to get the go ahead score.

The crowd has Rioted from this score and ensured the Sly Rats had less time to equalise or even go ahead.

A Sprinkler Malfunction has also caused the Sly Rats trouble late in the game, the Sly Rats had finally sorted out their handling problems, but evidently did not help their footing skills with the OTTD opportunity cut short when a Gutter Runner tripped over.

The Sly Rats did manage to recover though to equalise, but ran out of time to get the go ahead TD and had to settle with a slightly disappointing draw at 1-1.

Sly Rats shoot past Cometeers late
The West Coast Sly Rats have shaped up after a long break away from the game against fellow Skaven team, the Warpstone Cometeers.

The Sly Rats long break away really showed with a few mistakes and poor positioning showing evidently early on in the match.

The well coached Cometeers reacted well to the little errors and put the pressure onto the Sly Rats immediately. This pressure lead to a series of turnovers before the Cometeers were able to get a 1-0 lead.

From here the Sly Rats were playing catch up with the Cometeers. The Sly Rats were only ever able to equalise against the Cometeers before they again took a lead through the middle stages of the match.

Half way through the second half though, a Riot in the crowd allowed a Sly Rats sympathiser to turn the clock back giving the Sly Rats just a little extra time.

The extra time allowed the Sly Rats to level the scores at 3-3 with time to try and effect a successful turnover to have a chance at a win.

In the final turn of the game the Sly Rats succeeding in turning over the Cometeers and were able to run away down the field and score a last gasp 4-3 win from what was sure to be a draw.

Sly Rats prove Mightier than Apes
The West Coast Sly Rats have recorded a strong 4-0 win in their latest match on tour down south against the Anaheim Mighty Apes.

The Sly Rats were undaunted going into the opponents home ground, and showed this by manning up early against their opponents, getting themselves into a good position for an intercept.

The intercept proved to be the first of many positives for the Sly Rats and many downfalls for the Apes.

Through the first half, the Sly Rats pressured the Apes relentlessly and managed to get themselves out to a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, the Sly Rats were again able to put pressure on the Apes, and instead of scoring quickly, they went about trying to hurt their opponents as much as possible.

With a numbers advantage gained and the Apes starting to get a little closer to the ball carrier, the Sly Rats decided it was time to extend the lead again.

The patience from that drive paid off in the next drive though, as the Sly Rats took advantage of the Ogre's mistake.

The Sly Rats were able to surround the ball which had been left unattended and were able to easily keep any Apes at arms length to leave themselves an open run to finish the game with their 4th TD in a near perfect outing.

Sly Rats conquer their Demons
The West Coast Sly Rats have atoned for their first round draw against the Dark Wood Demons with a resounding 3-0 win.

At the end of a hectic period for the team, playing 3 games in quick succession, the Sly Rats were able to stand up and be counted.

The Sly Rats found their experience picked up from recent games had given them a strong edge against their opponents.

The Sly Rats were able to stifle the Demons every drive and managed to find a way through to set themselves up for a 2-0 lead by half time.

The second half started with similar dominance to the Sly Rats which allowed them to stretch out to 3-0 before long.

Unfortunately by the end of the match though, the Sly Rats had developed a case of the fumbles and were not able to get a 4th TD.

Sly Rats avoid getting Stoned
The West Coast Sly Rats backed up quickly from their win against the Darts to play Stone Croak immediately after.

The slippery Slann proved a stern test for the Sly Rats. The Sly Rats started with a bit more gusto, Knocking Out a few opponents and scoring quickly.

The Croak reacted well to this though and Badly Hurt 2 of the Sly Rats linemen before settling into to score a reply TD themselves.

With the numbers already working against them, the Sly Rats tried to get a half time lead, but were unable to make the catch. Unfortunately this lead to the Croak were able to score themselves before the half time break.

From here the Sly Rats had to stiffen their defence. They managed to stifle the attack of the Croak early and evened up the score with half of the second half remaining.

By this stage the Sly Rats had managed to get the numbers a little more even, and the very agile Trab Creep returned from being Knocked Out.

The Sly Rats saw one opportunity to try and stop the Croak from getting the lead back and made sure of it. this also lead to an opportunity for them to make a semi break themselves.

With the small break made, the Croak did manage to disrupt the break, but unfortunately for them, the went down with the ball carrier as well. The Sly Rats however had more bodies close by and were able to scuttle through and set themselves up for a last turn score and subsequent 3-2 win.

Sun doesn't burn the Sly Rats
The West Coast Sly Rats have backed up from a first round draw to record a solid win against the Sun Darts.

The Sly Rats tried to bash their way through their opponent, but the Darts armour proved to resilient. Their defence however did not prove as resilient.

The Sly Rats turned the Darts over meekly in the first half and they managed to score from the resulting turnover, even if they did go the long way about it.

The first half ended at 1-0, but with the Sly Rats receiving first in the second half, they were able to extend their lead quickly and get themselves out to a 2-0 lead, but it was a stuttering effort non-the-less.

From here the Sly Rats were feeling a little more confident. The Sly Rats again pushed deep and turned the Darts over to score another TD before the end of the game to finish the match 3-0.

Sly Rats wrestle Demons
The West Coast Sly Rats have fought hard to earn themselves a draw against a slightly more favoured Dark Wood Demons.

The Sly Rats seemed to put up a strong defence early, causing a turnover. However they found themselves lacking when it came to finishing off the drive. The Sly Rats struggled to get their passes away and subsequently turned over the ball themselves which lead to the Demons scoring.

The Sly Rats were able to scramble and level the score shortly after half time.

The Demons pushed on however and scored again to gain the lead.

From here the Sly Rats had to scramble hard again, the Demons pushed them to the brink, but the Sly Rats were able to break free late and scored late in the game to even up.

With little time left, the Sly Rats were able to stop the Demons from scoring again and salvaged a draw out of the tough contest.
