Hashtag MMP Social Media was ablaze last night (ok, there were two comments) with talk of the Manic Mud Puppies. Their season opener was played last night at Strategem Games in Warwick (side note: really nice venue, plenty of space. Willing to play more games there for sure). Here's the official press release from last night: After some technical difficulties (we got too involved with the game), the Manic Mud Puppies are pleased to announce a 3-0 victory in the first round of the WCL over the Blacktongue Raiders. The team's new uniforms have not yet arrived, so we weren't able to take any shots of the team in action, but we are pleased with the team's efforts. Touchdowns went to John Wendell, Elroy Ellison and Nigel Royce. Austin Beck achieved two completions, and the MVP went to Ellison whose efforts in both attack and defense were above equal. News on the injury to Lucas Garnet is not so good, as he is expected to miss the next match, despite the efforts of the team's staff. In response to the unforeseen injury, the team has now hired a permanent apothecary. So wrapping up - Puppies win round 1, and Garnet injured, expected to miss the next match.

Manic Mud Puppies Await WCL With just two days until entries officially close fr the WCL, the Manic Mud Puppies have taken to Social Media! Publicists for the MMP have shared the link to the team's Facebook Page, announcing that there will be updates before and after each game, as well as news from other matches from the WCL. At this stage some people think the MMP are just barking mad, whilst others are considering the opportunity to get a K9's view of the season.
